    • FIRST RECONCILIATION

According to Restored Order, celebrated in 2nd Grade.
Reach out to Susan Breton ([email protected]) for information & registration.

    • The Order of Reception

Baptized Catholic children can celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation, a Sacrament of Healing, in 2nd Grade. The Sacraments of Holy Communion and Confirmation, two of the three sacraments of Initiation, are celebrated at the same Mass in the 3rd Grade.

    • SacramentAL preparation Requirements

As your child prepares for the sacraments we encourage families to be fully practicing their Catholic faith: weekly Mass attendance and participation in community events.  To help make things more convenient, we are now teaching our Sacramental Prep classes during Family Formation.

    • WAIT - What EXACTLY is Reconciliation?

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is one of the most unique and beautiful aspects of Catholicism.  Jesus Christ, in His abundant love and mercy, established the Sacrament of Reconciliation, so that we as sinners can obtain forgiveness for our sins and reconcile with God and the Church.  The sacrament “washes us clean,” and renews us in Christ.

What faith confesses, the sacraments communicate: by the sacrament of rebirth, Christians have become “children of God,” “partakers of the divine nature.” Coming to see in the faith their new dignity, Christians are called to lead henceforth a life “worthy of the gospel of Christ.” They are made capable of doing so by the grace of Christ and the gifts of his Spirit, which they receive through the sacraments and through prayer.
      – CCC 1692

Those who approach the sacrament of Penance obtain pardon from God’s mercy for the offense committed against him, and are, at the same time, reconciled with the Church...

      Act of Contrition

O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because of Thy just punishments, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all-good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin.
